The diplomatic dispute between Pakistan and Canada expresses solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohamed Faisal told reporters in a weekly briefing on Thursday that Islamabad is "seriously concerned" about the crisis between the two countries.
He said that Pakistan has shown solidarity with Riyadh in this regard.
Recently, after criticizing Saudi Arabia’s treatment of Canada, it began to understand diplomatic disputes for women’s rights activists in countries outside the state. This step prompted Riyadh to take action and Riyadh suspended the business and expelled KSA’s Canadian ambassador.
"Pakistan has always supported the principle of non-interference in national sovereignty and the internal affairs of other countries," the FO spokesman stressed.
"These two aspects are included in the "UN Charter" and are one of the basic principles of international law and the basis of peaceful and friendly relations between nations," he said.
"We fully agree with the statement of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation that Saudi Arabia is one of the people of Pakistan and enjoys great respect at the regional and international levels," Faisal said.
He said that according to the principles of Islamabad and not based on the closer Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relationship, he supported the country and not only protected his sovereignty.
