German FM invites China to press negotiations on nuclear disarmament

Berlin (Sputnik): Germany's top diplomat, Haiko Mass, has shared his vision of new threats between the Russian-American line-up about the withdrawal of the INA Treaty in an interview with Tegessifegel M. Sonteg. He attributed Beijing's reluctance to any international agreements on this matter for contribution to Info Fiasco.

According to the head of the German Foreign Ministry Heiko Mass, China's refusal to negotiate the boundaries of the medium-range nuclear missiles was "one reason that the United States and Russia no longer want to unite their hands with intermediate-range nuclear forces (INF) treaty ".

"China has an independent hand, and other people are also rising: for example, North Korea, Pakistan, India. If Beijing refuses to accept control, then the discussion should not end. China is related to the table of discussion. We have to increase the pressure there.

Mass suggested that the West has to ensure that "the topic should return to political agenda".

"In the decades after the end of the Cold War, there was not much need to talk about it. But we have to lead the debate because there are clear scenarios of danger. Our view is that general ordnance should not be the result of new competitions of great powers.

In an interview with Focus at the beginning of this month, German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leen said that China's medium-range missiles can reach Russia, suggesting that in Beijing "some sort of disarmament treaty" May also be included.

Other German officials have already voiced their concern over the collapse of the treaty, with the Minister of Economy and Energy Peter Altmaier not refusing to contest a new arms race between the US and Russia.

The United States officially suspended its obligations under the treaty treaty of 1987 on 2 February and cited the violation of the Moscow deal and started the process of returning for six months. This agreement prohibits missile, conventional or nuclear launches from all grounds, ranging from 310 to 3,400 miles.

Just a month later, on March 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree suspending Russia's obligations under the treaty treaty, until the compliance of the United Nations Convention. Putin's order came into force on the day it was signed.

Putin said that Moscow did not want to run an expensive weapons race, but refusing to negotiate a new weapon on the control of weapons said that all previous proposals were made on the table.
