The couple posted an Instagram picture of their hands with a huge engagement ring on Lopez's ring finger. The former Yankee shortstop gave a caption to his picture with "he said yes" and a hearted emoji.
The couple has been dating since the beginning of 2017 and later that year, their celebrity couple's nickname, Jay-Rod, landed on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

In January, Rodriguez told The Associated Press that he and Lopez had similar backgrounds and their latest film "Second Act" reflected relationships that would attract them together.
"It really comes from many examples of arc that Jennifer and I used to live in our lives: both were born in New York, both come from immigrant parents, both of them have two children, both Latina Americans - to Puerto Rico, from the Dominican Republic to me Rodriguez said, "We are going through our ups and downs, but here we are in our 40s and we are trying to live a better life.
This will be Lopez's fourth marriage and the second of Rodriguez. Each has two children from the previous marriage.
