Being disturbed by all the turmoil after the Ararat March held on the 8th of March 2019, I was compelled to write whatever felt about the post-melodrama related to this incident. For all the delicate feelings hurt by some play cards displayed in the event, each person is trying to uncover a small dot on a whole wide canvas - blinding itself to the unrest of many more helpless women Those who only leave them, homes should be seen and can be heard for a major reason.
As far as the posters are concerned, there were some illustrated posters and there were some who were not very fit. But when a girl wants to raise the issue related to her personal needs, then she should be able to do this. There is no "temptation" to talk about tax on a sanitary pad for a woman. We obviously do not expect men to march on roads for such cases. Women were embarrassed to keep posters about sexual harassment and it seems as if speaking against evil in today's world is a new evil. "Aart March" is not a march for liberalism, but a roar to awaken law-makers and systems that are failing to protect the women of this country. It is a demand to educate every young girl, it is an invocation for every girl at home, at work place or even in the street.

Not all women stood against men, but against a rapist, an insulting, a sexual harasser and someone who burnt the woman's face with acid. This cry was not against the gender of the man, but against the people who killed for respect. This ruckus was against a child molester and against a mentality that burying a daughter as soon as she is born. These cry were for mercy; This noise was for justice on matters that have been unfair for a woman in our society for decades. "The maritime march" is not a war against men, but against the evil and injustice that rule in our system.
But we just could not see some of the posters and ended up the whole effect of this incident, while cursing women holding march to the streets and taking a stand for themselves. Actually? How does our ego hurt so easily? Do we really think that there is nothing to improve our society? Does this mean that the system is completely alright and there should be no change? Does this mean that all women are considered fair and there is no need for such events?
Empowering women is not far from the power, but it adds to it. When we empower our women, together we all become a power house as a nation!
