Aviation monitoring and emergency services said that eighteen people were killed in a helicopter crash in Krasnoyarsk region in Siberia on Saturday.
Passengers, workers, went on to their shift at an oil pumping station, and three crew members died when the Russian-made MI-8 aircraft entered the goods of an adjacent helicopter as both were completing the takeoff.
This incident took place in the Vancore Field area of Eastern Siberia, it was said that about 2 AM is the largest oil field in Vengar region, operated by Russian oil company Rosneft.
"One MI-8 helicopter which was carrying external suspended goods and no passengers had previously acquired the second MI-8 helicopter was about to take passengers," the watchdog said.
Watchdog said, "According to preliminary reports, passengers carrying MI-8 entered the outer material of other helicopters for unknown reasons, as a result it fell apart, separated and a fire broke out." In the weather situation, the general said.
A commission has been set up to investigate the accident.
State law enforcement TASS News Agency citing law enforcement agencies said that black boxes of helicopters have been recovered, appear unwanted and will be sent to Moscow as part of the investigation.
After the incident, other helicopters landed safely. The ownership of the two planes was owned by the Russian airline Euterier Utah-helicopter services.
In Russia, helicopter operators mainly work with oil and gas companies, which carry people and goods for customers including Gazprom, Shell and Rosneft. According to the company's website, it also works on UN agreements around the world.
