To take mobile dating apps like Tinder and Bumble, Facebook has started internally testing its dating project with the staff.

According to a report in The Wezeze on Friday, an independent app researcher Jane Stonhon Wong found evidence of the dating feature and posted it on Twitter.

"This product is for US Facebook employees who have opted to dogfood Facebook's new dating product.

"The purpose of this dogfooding is to test the end-to-end product experience for bugs and confusing UI (user interface). It's not for dating your colleagues," read a screenshot.

It has been said in the report that Facebook has planned employees to use fake data for their dating profile and remove all data before public launch.

The screenshot further reads, "This product is dogfooding completely voluntary and does not have any effect on your employment," this product is confidential.

Later, social media giants confirmed that dating product is in the testing within the main Facebook app but declined to comment further.

Facebook had announced the dating model during its F8 Developer Conference in the US in May - which will not be a standalone dating app.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during his main note, "It will be for real, long-term relationships, not just for hookup."

They said, "We have designed it with privacy and security since the beginning. Your friends will not be able to see your profile, and you are being suggested only to those people who are not your friends."

Facebook Product's Chief Chris Cox showed viewers a design of the dating project.

A feature called "Unlocking" will be visible to any user of Facebook's dating platform for events or to other people present in groups.
